A bayside federation home with historical character was transformed from a traditional red brick to an aged European style render called the German Schmear technique. After weeks of trialing different levels of coverage we landed on this finish which softened the red brick and still allowed the original colour to come through. The result was a charming and fresh textured finish for the exterior of this grand house.
Our clients have been collectors for a long time, treasuring furniture from their childhood and they asked us for ways to
re-invent it. The interior design language was a blend of styles, our client loved aubergine which we celebrate by painting a custom linen cupboard in the children's bathroom. Their unique personality has been woven into the design language with colourful and playful elements that aren’t too serious creating warm and livable interiors.
